Bee gees song by George Michael

JIVE TALKIN’ — Boogie Box High
Released in 1987, Boogie Box High was a project by George Michael’s friend Andros. For legal reasons George couldn’t be credited, but he sings this Bee Gees hit as well as the brothers Gibb. The Boogie Box High album also featured two rejected and recycled Wham! songs included Soul Boy (the unreleased Wham! version is on youtube ). Andros and Michael (who are often mistakenly labelled cousins) started the label Aegean Records in the mid ‘90s but soon after fell out. Andros wrote a book called Rock: The Luckiest Man In Pop in 2012 talking about their friendship and hoping they could reconcile. They never did. Michael was godfather to Andros’ son James, who is a DJ on US reality TV show Vanderpump Rules.

MAURICE GIBB: Always with experimentation in mind, this was a fun time. The memories of this session will always be remembered. I loved the tuba and reverse cymbal effect.
